Today when I was doing a 2nd gear pull, around 7k-ish rpms i heard LOUD pops, sorta like firecrackers going off under my hood while boosting. I immediately stopped boosting, and slowed down, and went to a local store about a mile down the road. When I was parked there was tons of blue-ish white smoke (i can't tell if its blue or not).
I let the car cool down, and went on my way-- then tried boosting again, nothing happened. Thinking it was a fluke, I tried to boost again, then the same sound happened, car stuttered, etc. So I immediately went home to check compression, to see if anything is wrong-- results came out great, so I'm not losing any compression. But when I took the 2nd cylinder plug out, there was white smoke coming out from it ?!!? The plugs look a white-ish color, the same as right after I was tuned (perfect a/f) What could be the problem?? I'm boosting around 15psi or so on my stock ignition, with the exception of colder NGK Plugs.

Also, some people have said that it might be my valves needing to be adjusted. I have Oversized ferrea's with brand new stock valve springs, and an ITR intake cam. Could this be a problem?

Well you say you have a good air/fuel ratio whats your timing like? How are you controlling your timing?

Inorder to accuratly read your plugs under boost you will need to make a run and shut the engine off imediatly, before it cyles again (fires). Otherwise you will burn anything off the plug.
White plugs are not good, grey is good. Any specks on the plugs?

I am running a Hondata system. Tuned for 6 hrs. I haven't had any probs before today... It just seemed to fall on its ***. Things sounded a bit different in the engine for some reason. Really just in 3rd gear. 1st and 2nd seemed to be ok.

Btw- i think i figured out what the prob is with the smoke. So disregard the White smoke part.

Could i possible be detonating after being tuned. I haven't had a problem before. I just happen out of the blue. I am tuned for 18psi(conservatively) and i was running 15.

your tuning will not magically change. likely this is related to a plug problem or ignition perhaps. looking back at your datalogs again, you are at a perfect 12:1 A/F and your timing is dead on. look for specs of metal (using a magnifying glass) on the insulator of your plug after a run where that happens. i highly doubt you will see signs of detonation.

I am looking into ignition and plugs right now. Does anyone else have any input on this?

did your car have a recent rebuild? "hot spots" maybe when under boost?

detonation doesnt sound like firecrakers IMO more like rattling BB's

do you have an open dump tube? unburnt gas coming out of there may sound like backfiring...just a thought
