Default Need answers on this MAP sensor issue

Hello all, new to the site. I had found it very informative and really cool. My questions are the following and I need straigh answers, I searched on this site before posting and did not find the answer I was looking for, so here goes.

1) Can I change my map sensor from the factory 1 bar to a 3 bar using the stock ecu and my S-AFC?
2) If the answer to 1 is yes, what can I expect from running this type of sensor?(i.e. idle lean or rich? )
3) If the answer is no, what about that missing link high tech check valve, how many psi's of boost is that good for? Any one order one from the website?

*I have a 92 civic dx, JE pistons, 8.5 cr, pauter rods. In short, short done everything I had to do to help my motor take the abuse but by doing so ran outta cash to buy an stand alone system, just to give you all who answer an idea.

1. no, at least without some kind of piggy back to compensate. EDIT:S-AFC (not sure)
2. as above
3. Missing link won't help in this case...all it does is stops the check engine light from lighting when the ECU sees boost. Your stock Honda MAP sensor is good for 11psi either way.

Nothing high tech about the missing link (LOL)...its a chunk of metal!

actually missing link stops map sensor from seeing boost altogether. You can run as much boost as you want theoretically. I would not advise it. I have run over 15psi on such a setup...not the way to go.

Default Thanks Guys for clearing that up

I guess I'll just be running low boost until I can get my hands on an aftermarket ECU. But again, thanks
