Need advise for D15B
I am looking to swap to a JDM D15B. My goal is to get at least 200 hp. at the wheels. I really don't have the $$$ for forged pistons and rods. What turbo setup would suit that goal? What size inter-cooler, inter-cooler piping, down-pipe, and turbo do i need? I would really appreciate the help.
no but a d15b is a piece of crap. instead of paying to swap a d15b and buying a d15b you can buy a gsr or b16 and put some nitrous and bolt ons with the money you save.
and then it will be way faster than any stock internal d15b jdm w.e.

lol, good joke. Since everyone and their mom knows a 200whp boosted D is simple to acheive for half the price of a 140whp, STOCK B16 swap. And still faster using a DX tranny. If you include the D15B swap, it should still be less.
Pretty much any fmic will work for 200whp, 2"-2.5" will be fine for piping, 2.5-3" dp/exhaust is the best, and for the turbo - a T3 60trim will hit 200whp at ~10psi on your motor. You could use a smaller turbo if you upgraded your MAP sensor to a 2.5bar, then boost above the stock sensor's 11.2psi limit. I would suggest Crome for the engine management, and at least 450cc injectors (like DSM 450cc's)
As long as you get it set up right w/o leaks, then get it tuned by a reputable tuner, it will spank stock NA B18's, and pull on the modified ones from a roll.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA....
ok hold on 1 more second..
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...
ok im done..
so the guy says he doesnt have money for forged internals or anything like that, and hes basically taking offers on what he should do... and then u tell him to buy a GSR and put nitrous lmao....
To the OP, pardon the simple minded people in this world, their so sad lol... Dude buy that D15B, turbo that ****, and get it tuned, not only will you beat that B16 that dousch-bigalow told you to buy, YOU'LL MURDER THAT ****..!!!
Then once you have the basics down, start upgrading your air/fuel, than you'll murder GSR's all day... Then later down the road if you want to upgrade even further to like block guard, and some forged internals, and you'll be mudering z28's and ****.. I mean turbo'd and tuned you'll be whoopin some *** dude, all the extra **** is just extra add-ons... But you have to fine the path you wanna go an just keep on that path... Like if you wanna go turbo, just look for turbo parts, wanna go nitrous, than get nitrous parts, ect... But yeah bro D15B boosted, you'll love it... "i have one" haha...

My build thread is in my sig, it'll give you an idea of my setup. I'm aiming for 200whp. I'm only running 7 psi but I hope to hit the 200hp mark, if not I'll be damn close.

200whp for a d series is easy on a stock block. MANY people have pulled these setups reliably and safely for daily drivers (tuned, of course). stock sohc rods seem to be good to about 250whp max, but that is really pushing it with a good tuner. for your turbo size, think about whether you want it to be fun going from stoplight to stoplight, or if you want it to be a freeway monster.
turbo the sohc and you'll walk i/h/e GSR's all day.

at the end of the day after you buy a jdm d15 and put your turbo kit and tune it you could have bought a b series motor of you choice and with some nitrous you'll spit on turbo sohc's.
i had a turbo d16z6 i took it out and switched to a b16 on a 75 shot and i was a lil bit faster. and i spent less money on the nitrous b16 then on the turbo sohc.
im speaking from expierience buddy not because i read something in the internet.

and the reason im telling the guy to buy a b series is because hes wants to buy a jdm d15 and then put a turbo kit.
if he already had the motor in his car or wanted to turbo his current motor then i wouldnt tell him to buy a b series.

what do you mean for a couple seconds? at the track i would get 10 full passes spraying since late first gear. On a 75 shot. HAve you had nitrous before??? IF not then why are you making comments?

Ok and? are you racing in traffic? Whenever a race comes up all i have to do is turn on the main switch.
and since you havent had any nitrous expierience with your jdm 100whp d15. please dont talk about nitrous. Im not doubting that a most turbo cars make more power with a turbo then nitrous. im just saying that nitrous is very very fun.
