Default Narrowband o2 sensor placement

I was wondering if it is ok if I place the stock o2 sensor only about 6" from the turbo outlet? And also facing parallel with the ground. I know the stock o2's are in the stock manifold sometimes, but the turbo will generate more heat right? The wideband bung is at the very back of the downpipe and vertical, but I don't know if I can fit another bung back there without interfering. Thanks.

Put O2 sensors in the stock location. They are equipped with heaters and will work fine. Unless you have an UEGO (unheated). Stock is HEGO (heated) so mount it in the stock location if possible, at a 12-1 o'clock position.

Ok, I'll probably just weld up a bung and see what happens. It won't be at 12 o clock but it shouldn't hurt too bad right? I know on the DC header I had the o2 was placed parallel with the ground.
If it's going to affect it, I'll try and cram it in next to the other bung on the back part of the downpipe.

just fyi UEGO = Universal Exhaust Gas Oxygen sensor - they have heaters too.

You can orient your sensor however you please - you just want to make sure it isn't in position that makes it vulnerable to damage. I like o2 sensors 6-18" off the turbo. If you have a bung down in the stock location put your stock sensor there and put a bung in closer to the turbo for the wideband o2 sensor.
