This looks to be an S258 in its original compressor cover. (Newer ones are being developed for the smaller S200 compressor cover.) .55 or A/R turbine housing 9 bolt the larger turbine wheel. This turbo is very nice for a street setup for a good VTEC engine that's been internally reinforced. Here are the specifications:

Compressor
58mm inducer extended tip
80mm exducer
44 trim

turbine wheel
61.5mm inducer
69.5mm exducer

this is comparable to a slightly larger than GT30R with VERY capable top end to over 500whp. Those are about $1150 or so shipped for them with a 1 year warranty.

Many people believe that saying that the fact it is not "ball-bearing" means that it will not be as responsive. This is not the case, and there is some other information regarding this turbo on the forum as well. Please let me know if you need other information.

At first i thought this was an S300 because of that compressor housing, but apparently i was wrong. It looks quite a bit different than my S256.

Hey Mac, what was the S200 series originally designed for??

The original design was for one of the smaller Benz diesel trucks. (I forget the model) but I've found the best use of it on some DSMs. Mainly those AWD that get about 440whp @ only 21psi (from the last one I did one for). The only thing the OP is going to not like is the fact that he's going to need a specific flange for the 1/4 feed line to fit, because the original cartridge uses a British pipe thread. It was extremely responsive and fun. the housing is a little large, but it works to help keep IATs down.

I was considering picking it up for use on a 84mm b16, it has an oil inlet adapter included. Doesn't seem like a choice turbo for a ~400whp small displacement motor. Any recommendations on a small motor with a good head?

84mm B16 and you only want 400whp?? That doesn't make any sense

If your goals are only to make 400whp, then there are other turbos around that'd work better for your goals. Personally, i would run this beast and bump up my power goals

Don't let the compressor housing size fool you, it can work quite well for that displacement, but there are some other alternatives. i'm PMing you now.
