Default My setup on my GSR.....thus far

My all motor part out is pretty near complete. So, i've begun putting together what I am going to buy.

-Precision sc34 turbo (arturbo)
-Precision or Spearco FMIC (not sure)
-Tial BOV (ben at importparts)
-Tial wastegate (38mm, 0.5bar)..ben
-RC 550cc Injectors
-Hondata s100 or s200
-oil feed line kit (flamenco-t)
-oil return kit (flamenco-t)
-oil drain flange kit (flamenco-t)
-as far as piping for the intercoolor (custom JC whitney)
-fuel pump(another not sure)
-Exhaust Manifold (not sure yet??)
-Downpipe and Exhaust piping (gonna contact Kteller8)....not sure yet on this one. i have a 2.5" cat and 2.67"full catback exhaust. not sure if it'll be sufficient enough or if i should sell and go with a 3" setup.

this is on my 95 GSR. anything else or any suggestions on which products or brands, etc? just any advice at all on the setup. also, what kind of power could i push out with this setup (my goal is around 250whp)

this is on my stock gsr bottom end. stock gsr head. gsr tranny with clutch, flywheel and probably a quaife lsd. if i remember anything else ill add on to the thread. i will be building up the bottom end progressively.

just looking for advice and anything else you guys would like to provide.

Very simlar to my set-up except i have a built motor and am hoping for around 325-350, i would think that a smaller precision turbo would suit you better then the sc34, maybe the sc52 (talk to arturbo).

P.S i am gunna use the lovefab mani, they seem to be excellent quality.

I would not shell out the extra money to go from a 2.67 to a 3inch exhaust. I would suggest a TiAL bov (check the top of this forum, Ben has great prices on TiAL products and anything else you need). I also would not go with an aftermarket fuel rail. I have a Walbro 190lhr fuel pump and would recommend that to you (possibly a 255lhr, but I think it would be overkill if you are only looking for 250hp).

meaning that i would be making more then 250whp? how much hp could i make with the sc52 turbo. is it worth it to go with the smaller turbo and pay the same price. or should i go with the sc34 and run a fairly low psi to keep the motor safe and run around the whp goal i have?

thanks for the fuel rail suggestion. ill do that.

where would i get the lovefab mani?

also, why would the tial be better (price?) how does it sound...any out there with experience with it?

well seems like after thinking the past few minutes it would make more sense for me to go with a sc52. I really don't want to be making 300+whp. I want a reliable setup running on 7psi daily. Not going to boost the hell out of it, just a reasonable 250whp or so.

would this be the ideal turbo i would want to go with?

anything else i would want to think about...a friend just suggested
http://www.johnnyracecar.com for an intercooler. good price...how about the quality? the 6inch. here is the info from the site......

"This is the six inch tall intercooler that I sale a lot of. I have customers who have installed these on just about everything. There is a stable of cars using these that put down 350 whp. Sizes: Core 30" X 6" X 2" End tanks are 7" tall X 3.25 deep. 2.5" OD piping X 2.5" long This intercooler carries a price tag of $230 plus $19.99 s/h/p"

any info? or go with precision?

I went for the SC-50 for my street only setup, i'm aiming to run around 7-8psi on a daily basis. I only paid $475 from member b18flip excellent guy to deal with.

Now all these different precision sc turbos you guys are suggesting is confusing the hell out of me, haha. Is there anything that can be agreed on? Im going with the tial wastegate 0.5bar and thats set at 7.25psi. thats the psi i will be staying on. i don't think ill be boosting any higher. i want to make 250whp...so what woudl be the best turbo for my setup?

thanks,
patrick

I would personaly go with the SC50. The SC50 has one of the best compressor maps of the T04E family of compressors. The only reason people go with the SC34(57 trim) is because it flows more, but it only flow 3lbs/min. The 57 trim may flow more but the 50 trim is more effcient for what you want to do.

so my choice would be the SC50.
