is that impossible? where is the weak point?
I believe it's possible, I mean if I run 5 psi on it, it should be very reliable for years to come (some maintainence, but shouldn't need a engine rebuild).

so I guess the question what about of boost can I run and still be safe for 3 yrs.
I am taking a different approach than most FI pple (not most power, but most power in a long run). So some pointers pls.

thanks

First off you don't need a missing link with hondata. Second, if you want to run more boost than 11psi you'll need a 3bar map sensor. Third, your injectors will be the deciding factor of how much boost you can run on that setup (Those 440's will tap out before you see any crazy boost levels). Lastly with a tuned hondata and reasonable boost levels for the street I think the motor could last three years. good luck

so if I get hondata tuned, this setup should run 11psi with no problem theoritically?
Honestly, I don't think I will even need to drive on 11psi. I should be running 5-7psi most of the time.. I just wanna know what's the upper limit and get it tuned on 11psi.

that is a rock solid setup. at 10psi i bet it would last for a long time... you could easily hit 25psi with good tuning and better injectors... but your turbo's efficiency is going to start sucking past 15psi or so. That turbo is real small for your setup, although you are looking for a long lasting motor so for low boost its good.

and to be honest w/ you, Crower Turbo Camshafts wont make that big of a difference. stock cams are great. use the money towards something else.

At 5psi and conservative driving it should last a while with maintenance offcourse.

If you are going to stay at 5-10 psi, I would suggest you go with higher compression pistons such as 10:1.

fyi- you don't need the missing link with hondata.

With such a beefed up setup why are you only wanting to run 5-8psi? and 9.2:1 compression isn't going to help you either. get yourself some 10.1:1 compression pistions and run 5-8psi. Compression helps spool your engine. Stock WRX's run 15psi of boost on their car...and if i remember correctly their compression is 8.8:1 or something along that line....9.2:1 RUN MORE BOOST....your engine can take it....and go to a tuner with the proper lambda meter and you'll be safe in the 8-15psi zone. and get the 3bar map sensor just in case ou spike and your map sensor just bugs out!....well that is if you go with more boost

thanks for all the input. This is really helpful. Coz' most of the answer I got had been, "3 years, hahaha good luck"..

About the 5psi, I am just throwing it out there. I mean if it's safe enuf to run 10-15psi, I am more than happy to. But it sounds like anything beyond 15 psi is more $$. And I dont have budget for that.

Therefore I may just get the car tunned at 15psi.

Thanks folks.

look at your stock pistons and look at the your 9.2:1 pistons....look at where your rings sit...lower on stock correct......you will be fine with aftermarket pistons.....remember the H22 problem with ringlands always cracking....tune tune tune.....and boost boost boost....10-15psi...with 3bar map sensor...you'll be fine.....just don't downshift from 5th to 2nd too much will yah! ...one thing I noticed...you might max out your duty cycle on your 440s
