Default My break in progress report

Its been 500km since my engine has been rebuilt and things are going better that expected. The first 300km was nerve racking (not being able to rev past 3500rpms, no VTEC, only 1psi of boost at most) It was really depressing and frustrating. Its like having a completely naked super model standing in front of you and being impotant or something. (not that it ever happend to me ...cough cough..)

I am at the 530km mark now and starting to drive it a bit more tougher ..and I got my shot of Viagra at last!

Here is what I have:

-FMAX turbo kit (turbonetics t3/t4 turbo .63 AR with stage II wheel, Tial 35mm WG with .45 BAR spring, IC, etc....standard kit components)
-stock sleeves
-DSM 450cc injectors
-Eagle rods
-Endyn 9:1 pistons
-stock head gasket (found this to be best)
-Apexi Power FC with commander (stand alone)
-Greddy Profec B (no guess work, easy to set and tune)
-ACT XPP/SD

I had it all professionally built by a Ferrari mechanic here in Japan. I am still breaking it in but to give you an idea how thinks are going, I am still only revving to 5000rpms (VTEC turned off and Power FC un-tuned), and the car is already incredible. It starts spooling at 1500rpms and at full boost by 4000rpms (thatfs faster than an EVO VIII spools) At 3500rpms, the car feels like a V-8c.Still in breaking in, so I have the Profec turned all the way down (so only 4.5 BAR at full boost) May I add that this is at partial throttle too. If I do full throttle, I will hit a poorly tuned part of the fuel map so my car starts to bog then the rpms climbs way to fast for me to react to it.

I canft wait until this is tunedcso that I can rev it in VTEC to 8400rpms cit will be insane!!!

Looking good!

Im going through the same thing, I still have to break in my motor. She is not treating me right at the moment, so I gotta fix a bunch of things on my brand new motor before I can even start the break-in.

Goodluck with your project! Make sure you post plenty of videos and dynos
