correct me if I'm wrong, but the reason that the smaller turbo works on some engines but wont be good for the GSR is because it Rev's to 8,000 rpms...

what does the S14 or eclipse rev to? not over 7k, thats for sure. So the small turbo will pretty much run out of power in the upper revs. If you had a D16 that only reved to 6500, it might work good, but not on a GSR motor.

The S14 redlines @ 7500 rpms.

I'm using a 280HP WRX turbo in my car (but I bought it brand new, IHI RHF5 ballbearing). I got a bit of lag (full boost, 18psi, at about 4000rpm).. but once it arrives, it pulls hard. Mind you, I don't have a B18C like you do, i'm running the 1.6l SOHC VTEC D16Y8 engine. Though I do have a friend with a turbo'd B18C-R Civic EK coupe, and he used the Garrett turbo from an SR20-DET that was sitting inside a Silvia S14, and it runs mid 13's at about 7psi of boost on street tires. He uses a piggyback ECU which seems to be working fine for him, plus stock main injectors, and 4 direct-port additional injectors (from an EVo 3, 510cc each). The SR20DET turbo's are fine if you're not wanting to turn your car into a 300+ HP monster.. although you probably could make those figures from a B18C with a bit more boost

Hey guys thanks a lot for your help......obviously the t28 is good enough for my engine....I can get hold of a WRX turbo, so i'll just have to pick one from those 2. Hope this thread was informative to others as it was for me....Thanks guys!!This board rocks, not like other boards where you dont get any replies at all....KEEP IT UP guys
