Mounting external wastegate on cast manifold--- can it be done??
ok, just threadin a topic that was brought up in another post........
what are external wastegate flanges made out of?? steel, aluminum??
is it possible to weld any flange on a cast manifold.......... i was under the impression you cannot weld aluminum to cast ........ any input would be great

well I just have to say, first off, NO way ANY wastegate flanges are aluminum... that **** would melt in a hurry.
Secondly, you can weld to cast, if your good (or your welder is)!
