Default motorola 2.5 map sensor help needed

whats up fellas i ot my car tuned about 4 months ago on a motorola 2.5 bar map sensor and the car runs friggin great ive never had any problems what so ever untill yesterday i cranked the car up and noticed it was idlein alil leaner than usally which i figured was no biggie then when cruizin the a/f gague was jump around alil more than usally normal is like 14.5 15.0 cruzinin about 60 mph as boost builds its 12.0 then goes to 11.6 wot till full boost and now it goes to like 8.0 9.0 when it starts to build boost and it wants to idle at 20.00 when engine is warm...i thought it mite be he map sensor. i check the signal voltage its showing 1.8 then bounces to 1.4 then bounces back in forth also the ground is showin 0.5volts so im thinkin it mite be messed up....any of your info would help thanks

I'll tell you right now, the Motorolla doesn't like heat and is very fragile. I bought one from a vendor on here and it was DOA. I ended up buying another one and that lasted me until I got a GM 3-bar. there very tempermental, I would definately chase the wiring and make sure nothing is shorted, then if all that is OK, I would look into a better map sensor.

this is from a year ago and you'll see that there are people that use them with no issues but I don't understand why mine was so fragile and only one worked out of 2 tried?

the map sensor can cause what the OP describes. it won't start and when it will, it will run lean/rich and the car will stumble through RPM's, and in most cases, almost like it's going to stall, temps will rise, and the car will buck. everything will seem unstable. get it fixed before you ruin everything.

I used to have a motorola 2.5 bar map sensor. Only problem I had was the piggy tail will slip off causing my car to die on me twice. Finally got tire of the piggy tail slipping off and just straight solder the wires onto the motorola map iteself. Never had a problem eversince but sold the car shorty after.
