Default MAP sensor

honestly, i've tried to read up on MAP sensors and learn what they are and what they do. and for some reason, i just don't understand. if anyone be so kind as to explain to me what they do and if i would reallly need one to turbo my car?

i cant explain what they do all i know is the stock map sensor can read about 10-11 pounds of boost, someone jump in and correct me if im wrong.

im planing on boosting and i bought a motorola 2.5 bar map sensor

so what im getting from you is that if it's less than 10 pounds of boost, it will be fine?

yes, and a map sensor is basically an electronic boost guage, for the ecu in this case.
