Default is this motor salvagable????

well i bought this motor from a friend of a friend for $50
he said it was in good shape that it didnt have a 3rd maincap due to it was frozen to a bearing which was frozen to the crank.

well i was wondering if it can be fixed or better yet worth the time and money to fix it. im planning on getting it sleeved and all so im not worried about the little rust in the cylinder walls.

take the block to a machine shop and see what they can do for you. looks like you should be able to fix her up. but if not. make a table out of it!

if the sleeves are bad then u can just resleeve it. i would check the crank journals to make sure they are all within spec. the main studs can be change and the oil squirters can be changed.

Chances are if you are going to put a new cap on it, you will HAVE to have it align honed which isn't really a big deal.

Golden Eagle can do both the align honing and the sleeving BTW, im sure many other sleeve companies can as well.
