What would you do?
Have a friends car in my shop that has experienced Crank walk. Upon disassembly of the motor, the crank is toast, the rods are all ground down on one side from crank contact, and some of the main caps have been ground down from the crank contact. Of course all the bearings are toast and there are metal shavings throughout the entire motor.
Seems to me like it would be more cost effective to simply replace the longblock.
Anyone have any suggestions??
