Default Motor finally let go

Everyone on this site told me that I could run 15psi with stock injectors and 12:1 fmu with no fuel pump "just for a little while". Some suggested that I run a walbro intank pump because "it would work perfect". Well I decided to give it a shot!

Anyone got a spare block?

Dustin

Did you really do that? I thought you knew better. You even advised me not to run more than 10 psi on stock injectors? Didn't you?

You mean I cannot boost without a fuel pump? How about a 8:1 regulator with no fuel pump to keep the pressure down. Will that work.

My motor is fine. Hehe no pity everyone I made this post to make a point.

I was going to buy this B18A block from a friend so we took it apart last night to see how the internals looked and it was toasted. So I just decided to see how much abuse stock sleeves can take from a framing hammer

TurboInteg95 and I were having a conversation on how people spread such misinformation about running FMU + fuel pump fuel setups. Just trying to illustrate a point...erm.. visually.

ITS JUST THE INTERNET! granted many people give good advice... but many speak of stuff they "heard" which isnt first hand knowledge... sorry to hear about ur block... time for a rebuild huh?

See you can even see where I hit the sleeves with the back side of the hammer! hehe. You can tell that motor was seriously gone. Parts of the sleeves were crumbling and it was all corroded with "sand" or something inside the water jackets. I guess he had the motor in the full red overheating in traffic for about an hour in SF.

sorry bro. they're probably the same people telling me not to run a "headgasket" or a "s-afc" or a "fmu". my point is now you know what not to do, first hand. just be careful next time. good luck and don't believe the hype!!

Hahah everyone thanks for the kind words but my motor is fine!

I was just trying to make a point. My motor is not blown. That is a B18A block that my friend and I beat on with a hammer.

that was pretty funny, I think I need to start a fake account so I can mess around. Hmm, I'll bet beating on that block was fun. I should have done that before. I had a block laying around that was completely dead, someone put a prelude crank in it and it broke and messed everything up. So I bought it for $20 because it had a GS-R oil pump on it. Anyway, me and my friend threw it off a bridge that goes over a canyon, it was pretty funny to see a block (which I heard went low 12's at one time) flying over a bridge. Since then I've thrown the stock seats from my corolla down there as well as an old LS head, i should have tried to land it on the block, that would have been really cool.

Here I am adjusting the sleeves for core shift with some precision instruments:

Here I am honing out the sleeves. I plan to run 30psi on this motor:

Here I am grinding the block number off the motor I stole:

Actually I did the same with the stock motor from my corolla. I left it in a bush in the parking lot of a high school that used to be our rivals back in the day. That was like the final prank, HAHA. It's so fun destroying things that you would normally treat with care.

Now why would someone "beat up" an engine? What has it done to you?

I think you have problems Dustin. You should check in to HAA. Honda Addicts Anonymous. Seriously.

LOL! Venting a little sexual frustration aren't we?...
