I live in Germany, and there is not a single dyno anywhere within a days drive.
I currently have a stock EM1 that will be boosted SOON. Engine management:VAFC hack. I also have 255lph fuel pump and 440cc injectors goin in. Whats the most you think I could boost safely?? Turbo kit is from SFP, the regular t3/t4 intercooled combo etc... Skunk2 IM Skunk2 exhaust already on the car. Leave your opinion please.

For guages I have Greddy electric boost, exhaust temp, oil pressure, fuel pressure. What should I be looking for to ensure no detonation. There have been several people in the local area who have gone the forced induction route without problems. However, they have all been posted back to the States, and the only other person who is boosted I can't rely on for good advise...
you maybe running abit too rich....but if it was me I'd go on ebay and get my hands on a cheap Vortech FMU with a 12:1 disc and install that ...keep your stock injectors...and disconnect your VAFC just for the moment.....and drive to wherever your going....$40-50 isn't too bad if you think about it....and sell it back on ebay......get a missing link as well.....install that back on when you get there and tune it out on a dyno with a WB02..and install the intank and drive it to wherever you can tune the SOB.....boost as little as possible....

not to jack the thread or anything:
when breakin in a motor, i heard you need to punch it to a certain rpm every once in a while:
ex.b/w 200-400 miles, dont pass 3500 rpm but zip to 5500 rpm every so often.
well, how does this pertain to me if i just rebuilt and boostin, but didnt tune yet?

unless ur running a complete kit, i would try not to boost at all yet untuned, esp with the afc hack. at the least i'd say spend the money to get a wideband standup or find someone who has one so that you can safely tune ur A/F
I think you are all pussies and liars if you say you didn't boost before going to the dyno. What, did you build your car on the dyno?
If you are confident in the quality of your injectors and hook-up of afc, I would just run it rich and not COMPLETELY wail on it. Just hook up a voltmeter to your o2 sensor and make sure it stays above 0.900v and that your egt's look normal (don't know what they should be in C, but less than 1400F when boosting, I'd say). You could retard your timing a couple degrees for extra safety and run premium grade fuel. With that, 5-7psi all day.
