the most messed up fuel problem
so, I have an aeromotive a1000 fuel pump. When I slowly let go of the clutch to start off in 1st, the fuel pressure drops to 0 and engine dies from starvation of fuel. IT just returns freely into the tank. When I am driving, it randomly drops fuel pressure also.
I change out my Paxton FPR to an Aeromotive FPR and same ****. Changed out injectors and put my stock ecu back in, same ****. The fuel pump is constantly running, its just that it quiets down when this happens since the fuel is flowing through freely and returning back into the tank.
An yone know or experience what the problem is? The fuel pressure is not steady, its bouncing around non stop. pissing me off already. It had shitty *** wiring done to it originally so when I got it dynoe'd, we hooked it up directly to a battery. Made 403 whp and 264 ft lbs tq. So then I wired it with 8 guage wire to a relay which gets triggered by the main relay and it seems that ever since then its been acting up.

yeah i blew the fuel filter out with a blower but it would be nice to change it out and see. highly doubt its the issue though.
its wierd though. its like the engine loses fuel pressure and it just cycles back into the tank. got me stumped and makes me just wanna sell all my **** already. non stop working on it.

filter-check for sure
You need to get a volt-meter and watch it as you drive. Especially with big pumps, every volt dropped means plenty in terms of volume sounds electrical, could be a bad battery? Or something that is sinking the power

yeah, when I even connect it to a battery in my trunk it does the same ****. I hard wired it to a battery to see if my alternator or battery was the problem, and same thing. I'll try tomorrow with a voltmeter and see how it is.

Re: (B18 CYA)
aeromotive recommends using their voltage regulator with the a1000 if it's going to be used over 30min of driving. Idk if it's true or not or if you really need to use one since i never used the a1000. I used the eliminator for long periods of time without a regulator and it seemed to work fine.

will try that. It's a paxton FPR, but i borrowed my friends Aeromotive FPR yesterday and tried it out and same ****.
I'll try a different vacuum source and a different ground. Doubt its hte vacuum though since it just started doing that not too long ago.
