Default Most common problem when self-installing turbo kit?

I think I'm gonna go ahead and do the install myself when I get my Drag 3. What problems have you all run into when doing the install yourselves? I'm guessing I'm gonna have the most trouble with tapping into the oil pan. And maybe fitment of the I/C. Does any of the 98-01 Integra bumper have to be cut to fit the I/C? Thanks guys!

One more... how many days/hours should I set aside for this install?

For my Greddy kit, it was definitely tapping the oil pan for the oil return line. If all else fails, keep in mind that JB Weld is a good fix-all! About the install time, set aside an entire day and if possible, an entire weekend. I found myself missing little things and had to make various trips to hardware store, etc to get them. Good luck with the install

i've read that some people wire the inline fuel pump backwards.

for the oil return, i would mount everything first so you know exactly where to tap the oil pan.

HAHA ok.......i am almost done with my Drag 3 GSR install. I probobly got 1 more day till im done. I just need to get the downpipe welded to the cat. There are many many problems you will run into. Just let me tell you, set aside a good week or 2 for the install. Here is a list of problems I ran into:

- Buy a dremel or a huge file to make the turbo fit up against the block. Also you gotta cut a lot of the fan and blades to make the darn turbo fit. It is extremely tight fit.

- Buy an oil pan gasket ahead of time.

- Buy a longer piece of heater hose for the oil return line becuase the one they supply is sooooo short. Or else get a steel braided one from anplumbing.com

#400100 - the steel braid hose (i got 2ft just in case)
#829010 - 90 degrees AN to Male fitting (to connect to the turbo housing)
#804610 - 45 degrees swivel seal (to connect to the oil pan from the turbo)
#967110 - steel weld fitting (to weld to the oil pan)
This setup costs around 80 dollars.

- Make sure you fit the oil pan return line up with the downpipe on the turbo. I didnt do this and had the return line welded in the way of downpipe which set me back.

- Buy about 2 more feet of vacume line for the BlowOffValve. It did not come with any vacume line. Well mine didnt neway ( HKS Racing type II ).

- My kit was short 2 bolts and nuts to mount the intercooler to the bumper beam. I had to buy them at Home Depot this morning. Sorry, forgot the sizes.

- Separate all the bolts when taking apart the car so u dont mix em up. The oil pan has about 20 bolts itself....i dunno how but i am shorts some bolts now :/

- I knoe there were lots more problems, but I cant think of anymore now.

Hope this helps, If you need to AIM me at AZKK00

also Dustins website has many helpful pictures
