Thats what I wanted to do but when I went to acura I was told that you have to buy the whole gear set so I just bought the 3rd gear set. Anyone know about installing the quaife? I just need to know what to tell the acura tech.

btw I posted under a co-workers name before

So....you are not installing the Quiafe? You can reuse the stock Ring gear. You will want to get new bearings for it though. You will have to get the Speedo gear removed from the stock diff, or buy a new one. Then have your new bearings pressed on. You will want to check the clearances on tranny to see if you have to reshim it.

Actually, you can't purchase the speedo gear from the dealer. You have to buy the whole diff. So don't break the speedo gear Make sure you buy new carrier (diff) bearings.

rip the tranny apart, take the final drive gear off, add new diff bearings, put it back in place, seal the tranny, add fluid

I just read through the artical on hondaprelude.com. That seems like a very hard instal. Is it anything that a "normal" person should attempt? How much would it cost to have it instaled?
