Default boost controller and BOV

Hi,

I can see that with AVCR and Profec B, it is possible to have two setup (usually A (for low boost 8 psi for ex. ) and B (for high boost 12 psi for ex.) )

If I set two boost like that, is there no problem with BOV because it is possible to set only under one boost ?

thans for your replies

The boost controller settings should have no effect on the BOV at all. The BOV reads vacuum seperately.

The size of the BOV has to do with the amount of boost being ran.. But for the 2 different amounts of boost you want to run then your fine with your BOV set the same for both..

Why not?

Its cheaper, it works, much less wiring, it does exactly what he wants. KISS- keep it simple, stupid.

I just figured that maybe your were saying running this boost controller would answer his question about needing his BOV set at 2 different settings..

Ohh, no, I didnt mean that.

I dont think he should have a problem with that. The BOV opens from the vacuum it see's, not from the pressure surge on the valve. Its going to see that vacuum regardless of the boost he runs.
