Default modded b20 need a few suggestions on nitrous.

well my situation is this.....i just bought a b20 with the modds in my sig, except i ditched the dsm pump for a walbro 255. Ive been considering running maybe a 50-75hp shot. The simple reason im considering the nitrous is simply because i dont have enough money to get the turbo kit i want or do the vtec head. Sooo im just trying to get the basics down for now and see what my options are as far as nitrous is concerned. Also it would really help if anyone could suggest specific kits for my setup and maybe if im able to actually run a bigger shot or not?

thanks
joe

One of your options is a Hondata S100 system - $250 if you have an OBD I ECU. The latest software release supports a dry (and wet) nitrous setup. A dry setup would be easier and cheaper to install than a wet setup.

You would need bigger injectors to support the additional fuel plus tuning. Tuned properly, it would be very reliable.

my friend brandon has had great luck with his b20 on the bottle and pushing 7 lbs. he ran over 10 bottles through his b20 with only a built head, stock injectors, stock headgasket, stock throttle body, adjustable fuel pressure regulator. he was running a 100 shot wet and it was amazing! Really quick and fun. he is now on the same motor with 7lbs of boost and Zdyne gold ecu and his b20 is still going strong! I'm amazed at how long it's lasted!

450 cc injectors should flow enough fuel for an easy 260-290 HP.

i've had stock ls motors that i've squeezed like arond 150 on..........and that was a 90-93 motor with well over 100k......i'd deffinately go with a dry kit if you want anything over 100 horse.....wet kits don't like to work well over that unless they are direct port. that would be the best setup

never got it to the track......i raced my friends 14.0 mustang gt.......and i spun hard through third gear. finally caught traction in top of third and hit 4th gear and pulled on him by well over 5 cars.......and that was on a street thats just a shade under a 1/4 mile.......as for mods. i had a I/H/E and i retarded the timing by like i believe 5 or 6 degree's....and i ran the zex plugs cause i got em with the kit... zex kit......so i couldn't run a fuel pressure reg. and i just had a stock gsr fuel pump......it prolly woulda ran like mid 12's on a good set of slicks, and if i had changed the clutch......that motor ran through about 4 full bottles. and then i sold it to a friend of mine who ran a quite a few more through it at around 75 shot, then it was built into a ls/vtec
