do some research..the stock map sensor reads 11psi... and a missing link doesnt make it read boost ...it does the opposite..we dont use those here..at least n9ot for the last 4 years

oh because thats what a friend told me he said that i needed it because my car wasnt reading boost on my apex vafc i didnt want to argue with the guy because he builds car for a living

damn you shouldn't ever let that guy build your car. The missing link keeps your map sensor from seeing boost.

no my cars already boosted damn that dude was probably just trying to get me to buy one i just thought he knew what he was talking about because he has a fully builtf23 vtec turbo on 25 psi in a 98 sedan

no if you use a missing link with that your engine will not like it so much. Basically the ecu wont see that you are boosting and therefore not compensate with more fuel and pull timing.

imagine a check valve that only flows air one way....if you suck through it air will flow. if you blow through it it will shut...it allows the sensor to read vaccuum and run the motor correctly partial throttle and not let any pressure get to the sensor under boost so the ecu doesnt freak out. if the ecu is chipped you can set up the program to read up to 11 psi off the stock map sensor. and ditch the afc
