Default Missing Link

Ok so I put on the missing link to test it out and my cars idol was terrible. I understand that the purpose of it is so the map sensor won't read boost but I don't have my turbo in yet and just wanted to see if it would work. So am I installing it wrong (probably not) or will it not work correctly without the turbo on?

the purpose of a missing link is to smooth out the singnal that the map sensor reads in turn smoothing out the turblance that boost creates, since our stock map sensor isnt supposed to read boost (but will up to 11.3psi) people sometimes have trouble with missing links, i no i did. Just switch to a real EMS and you wont have to deal with ghetto **** like missing links and FMU bullshit.

Smooth out turbulance? Its a check valve. It keeps the stock map sensor from sensing boost. The stock ECU will freak out when it detects positive manifold pressure.

Straight from Blox's website "Made of quality billet aluminum. Eliminates all check engine lights for all OBD equipped turbocharged Hondas and Acuras. Improves and smoothens vacuum to boost transition. No adjustment needed with changes in boost pressure."

Synapse says the same thing, i had the idea right just not exactly what i remember readaing in the past when i had the unfortunate pleasure of dealing with crap like this.

Feel free to jump down my throat again
