Default Miss-shifted....Is anything wrong?

Well my engine is ticking louder, but could anything else be wrong? I don't have a rev-limiter (I know thats dumb) and hit over 9000 rpm for a SPLIT second (I have a stock valvetrain). Please tell me what I should do. TIA

I would reccomend doing a compression test, and inspecting the spark plugs. I might even do a oil change just to make sure nothing got messed up. If all checks out ok, then it seems you have gotten lucky.

my friend shifted his b16a at 90mph into second and the motor was totalled. however he hit 10,000+rpm on his new motor or thats what the memory on his autometer tach said and there was no damage at all. how did he do this? He miss shifted from 3ed to second at 70mph. imagine that. and his new motor is a LS/VTEC crazy huh. im sure you have all seen the b16a crx blowing the motor in the video thats all over the place, its the one with "in the end" playing in the back ground. oh your answer. compression test. sorry for the long post

those numbers are low, u should be above 200.

Oh by the way... I have 9:1 CR pistons so that may be the cause for a lower compression. Also, I did not do it at WOT. Im gonna go do another test and Ill get the new numbers.

CHECK YOUR VALVES.... You prolly at least need a valve adjustment... if your valves haven't been bent by the over rev... If the tapping continues after a valve adjust... they might be (some or all) bent.

Good news: I misshifted the other night, 9K, low comp pistons 9.2:1 luckily I did not bend any valves... from 2nd to 1st.... don't ask
