max BHP from 1000cc injectors?
well I did some tunning today (I do it myself) and Iam a little bit lost..while tunning my hondata I notice my duty cycle went red in the datalogging screen..I was thinking to myself how can that be? Iam running a base fuel pressure of 60 psi and have 96 lbs (1009cc) injectors..is it a glitch in the hondata? the car only made 536 whp on the dyno before and today was just a little driveablity tunning..so I guess my question is..sense the car was tunned I added a dry nitrous system and am controlling it with the hondata..I have a value of 120 for xtra fuel when the juice comes on and 2 degrees of retard..so I figure the car is making in the area of 560 whp or so (.26 nitrous jet) can I be maxing the 1000cc injectors out at 560 whp with a a/f ratio of 12.0-1?

well iam not a tuner but i will tell you what i was told by a well known tuner, i have 880cc injectors and the same fuel pump and fpr as you, and i was told that i would only be able to do like 500 whp on 51psi static pressure and this was on a 11.5:1 a/f so i hope this will give you an idea and help your question

Re: max BHP from 1000cc injectors? (Full-Race Geoff)
Get an Aeromotive pump. My car with 1000cc injectors dynoed just under 500whp with a peak duty cycle of 67%. Watched another car with damn near exact setup (mine 83mm bore vs. his 84mm bore) dyno 500whp using a whalbro high flow pump and was running mid-high 90% duty cycle.
I know people out there will tell you the intank aftermarket replacements will do just fine for 500whp applications, but I dont think they realize just how hard that pump is working to keep up. Something working that hard cna only lead to a short life. Not to mention what can happen if it does start to fail during a run.

I would also lean toward a fuel pump problem. To be running those kind of duty cycles, your pressure must be dropping. You should be able to see it in your fueling maps if your A/F is tuned flat.

Re: max BHP from 1000cc injectors? (leed)
I thank you guys so much!!!
I have a SX gas/alcohol fuel pump on hand..just need some lines..do you think I can run that pump and still use the aem fpr or will I need to go sx or areomotive fpr?
here is the pump (18203)... http://www.capa.com.au/fuel_pumps.htm
