map sensor seeing too much voltage
well my car was running good after i put the valve seat in my 35mm tial, until 4 days later, started throwing codes, well i got the code checked and it was...map sensor seeing too much voltage. well im running the safc with dsm 450's at 7lbs boost. if i mess with the safc enough and start my car about 10 time, code will go away for about 15 minutes, then come back on, pretty much now it will only run/idle with the code on and runs like complete ****. what could this be, bad map sensor?
thanks
richard

If the ECU is spitting out a "Voltage to high from MAP", then the settings on your VAFC are not correct. The VAFC trims the MAP voltage and when this voltage goes above ~2.8v, which equals atomspheric pressure, and since N/A motors don't produce boost, the ECU sets a code.
What are your settings for the VAFC?

SAFC not VAFC, doesnt really matter though
well i have tried from -30% all the way across to -50% all the way across, but is what really gets me, it ran for about 3 weeks on settings between -36 to -42 with NO codes whatsoever and now, just like that, its throwing codes and runs like shiat

Re: map sensor seeing too much voltage (civicb18)
Check and recheck your wiring to make sure nothing is loose. Check all your 'etc' settings (ie., 6in 6out etc...) to make sure nothing has been reset to default values, then check your map sensor..

Re: map sensor seeing too much voltage (swlabhot)
Like everyone else said, check wiring, it sounds like a wire came loose, because you said it worked fine and now its seeing too high voltage. Also, unless you plan on getting hondata, the gm map sensor won't work with the hack.
