Default map sensor problem

should i, or should i not trust my map sensor's reading of boost?
here's my delema. my map sensor used to show positive intake manifold pressure, now, when i seem to be boosting, it shows no positive pressure, only 0, and my pressure at idle is alot lower too. what do you think is wrong? map sensor?
thanks

Ummmmmmmm clarify? What are you using to read your MAP sensor? It also outputs on a 0~5 volt scale, with approximately 1V being idle, 2.89V being WOT, and 4.8-ish being 11psi of boost. The stock Honda MAP won't read over 11psi.

im using a apexi afc to read the pressure. at idle, it usually reads around 530-540, i have 2 check valves before the map sensor

Sorry, never used a AFC with my boosted setup, wish I could help more. But if you've got 2 check valves before the MAP sensor it shouldn't be reading any boost. If it does you'll throw a code(MIL/CEL on the dash) with a stock ECU. Unless your doing the AFC/450cc injector hack then i'm really clueless on that part

actually, i believe the map sensor can read up to .6 mm hg before it throws a cel

If your using the Missing Link or the "check valve" setup, your MAP won't see the boost, that's what you want.
I have the ML, and my VAFC manifold pressure reads 0, even though my boost gauge reads 10psi.

ok, well the deal is, i got my boost guage in today, hooked it up, and im only running 1.5 lbs. i have narrowed it down to: leak in exhaust manifold, leak in intake manifold, and possibly..............blown ring on piston i cant figure this **** out....any other suggestions?
