Default oil pan identification

sup guys. im finally getting to the point of changing my y7 oil pan for a tapped y8 oil pan for turbo. my Q is that, after i took the y7 oil pan off, i noticed that on the bottom, it said P2E. when i checked the bottom of the y8 oil pan, it said the same thing as well. did the guy who sold me the tapped y8 oil pan really sold me a y7 oil pan? He claims that it was the same oil pan off his y8 engine. the reason im asking is because ive read somewhere on here that a y7 and a y8 oil pan uses different gaskets, and i already ordered a y8 gasket. ive already compared them side to side, and they are identical:bolt pattern, internal shapings, holes, etc.

so wut do you guys think? should a i get a y7 oil pan gasket instead? sorry, if i could, i would upload pixes.
