Default Manifold/turbo/downpipe combo

I'm going to turbo my integra soon. I'm looking at a combination of inline pro t3 manifold with precision 6076 turbo and spoolin performance downpipe 3" a/c compatible. I did a bunch of research and everything seems like it would go together. But i want the t3 4 bolt .82 a/r turbo and i've heard that all the 4 bolt turbo's you'll have to notch the block or shave it to get it to fit and i don't want to do that. I really want 4 bolt over 5 bolt but I don't want to notch the block any answers?

Is your motor built to take advantage of that larger turbo??

If you have the T3/5 bolt stainless Inline Pro manifold, then its not the turbine housing you have to sweat, its the fact that the 5 bolt version of the manifold pushes the compressor cover closer to the block. With that turbocharger, the only thing you CAN do is notch the block as it uses a T04E compressor cover. If you use something in a T04B compressor cover, you eliminate that issue.

Yeah my motor will definately handle it, It's already sleeved, cp pistons etc. Only thing restricting me to a certain horsepower is my rods. They only support up to about 850 to the wheels. I'm trying to get 600 to the wheels with a/c still. And your inline pro setup you got for sale is the downpipe a/c compatible and stuff? What turbo would you guys recommend for the setup? I don't want to spend over 800 on the turbo alone that's why i was looking at that certain turbo it was 600$ and was rated 610 horsepower

Shodan you seem to know a whole lot about this setup, I havn't bought any of the parts yet. But i'm really wanting to go with the inlinepro setup but i don't want to notch the block. Do you have a recommended setup to keep a/c and get 600whp? without notching the block. If possible that's want i really really want. I would go a/c compatible ram horn but that's over what i wanted to spend on a manifold that's why i chose inline pro

Yes, there is one turbo that can do that and still keep you from notching the block, like the Wolverine, since it uses an extrude honed T04B cover to hold a GT35R compressor wheel,

Looks like this:

Regular

Polished

but there's a catch....

THIS is the catch.. Nothing will ever allow that clearance AND be under $600. The Wolverine is quite a bit more than that...

Shodan guess that just goes to the saying you got to pay to play. If you wouldn't mind if you can link me to the best priced 600whp turbo that will clear the block. Guess i'll just have to save alittle bit more.

OP, check here. Click on turbos & then rebuilt, they have a lot of turbos that should work for what your looking for. They're rebuilt but at least has warranty and are priced well, unless you want a brand new turbo in which they also carry. http://www.sdforcedinduction.com/index.php

I'm sure they'll have a T04b housing laying around that they can get to work.

I also noticed that there were a lot of Precision, but a lot of them are older models.

T04Bs are harder to get than you think, not to mention the backplates, collars, and machining, push the cost past the $600 he's looking at.

The older models are only about a year to 2 years old tops. How long do you think turbos are supposed to last?

Is that a trick question?

Depends on who installs them... a couple minutes to a couple decades. HAHAHA!!!

Then again, I remember somebody in here saying you can run Holsets without oil...

I read somehwere that they're supposed to last as long as the engine. Thats scary because I just bought a precision turbo

Alright I can't find the right turbo with the manifold combo etc. Now i'm looking at the AFI turbo a/c compatible manifold. Do ramhorns normally clear the block??
