I have recently aquired a t3/t04e turbo-- and now i'm looking for a manifold. I really want an Inline pro manifold, but i've heard there are serious fitment issues with them? Why are there fitment problems, please explain the difference in bolt patterns cas' i'm a n00b when it comes to this! thnx!! also, which manifold do you think i should get for a street application w/ 8psi?

I know first hand the fitment problems w/ the inline pro manifold and the 4 bolt garrett turbos.

Now, Its only w/ the 4 bolt garrett housings, If you have a 5 bolt turbo, then you are fine, it will fit without much off the block, but if you are like me, and have the 4 bolt turbo, you have to shave a **** load off the block.

so the question is: Do you have a 4 bolt or 5 bolt exhaust housing?

Ok, its the four bolt.

You can do one of a few things....

1. Buy the inline pro manifold...Shave the block like I did, its a Pain in the ***, but it works,

2. Buy a manifold that was designed for the 4 bolt turbo (i believe maxrev is one).

3. Sell this turbo and buy a kick *** Precision Turbo from Arturbo and use the inline pro (which also can be bought from Arturbo).

What ever you decide, dont rush things. I am happy w/ my car right now, it only sucked while you are installing it

Good luck, and let us know if you have any other questions.

Talk to Arturbo about them, they are extremely good quality, and a very decent price.

If you don't want a/c you can just turn it around and you'll be able to fit almost anything in there. I put a garrett 4 bolt 60-1 in my car, with a filter, and didn't shave, cut, or beat anything. This is a b16 in a 92 cx.

No, I doubt it because they run Precision turbos also.

But to the original poster, read my article that someone just posted titled " Garret 4-bolt vs. 5-bolt."

This may be a dumb question but how does a five bolt mount up to a 4 bolt manifold? Or vice versa? Thanks

It's the dp flanges that are different, not the turbine inlet flange(which mates tot eh manifold). So as long as you have a turbine that matches your manifold, it doesn't matter how many bolts the dp flange has. The other difference, besides having a different number of dp bolts is the CHRA offset, which Art goes into detail about in his write-up.

Thanks.

So If I get a t3/t04e turbo I should get the T3 manifold from Inline pro or the T4 manifold? BTW, sorry about all the newbie questions. Just starting my research for this part of my project. I appreciate the responses.

T3 manifold because a t3/4 uses a t3 exhaust housing.
