Default Manifold choice

OK I'm looking to buy a T3 manifold with external wastegate (deltagate/tial 35mm flange) for my d16 by monday or so. These are my prospects so far.

South Florida Performance (local for me) - $400
Pann Auto (in San Diego) - $300

Anyone else know of any good manifolds for a sohc with a good price. The thing is with te two manifolds I'm looking at is this. If I get the SFP piece, I can just buy their downpipe for $150 and go. If I buy the Pann piece, I'd have to make a custom downpipe which I haven't found definite pricing on as yet.

Anyone have suggestions? This is like one of the four last things on my list before I can go boost.

I have the D series SFP manifold. I like it though it is mild steel. I would have gone with Max Rev full stainless if it had been available at the time.

Hmm... never knew it was mild steel. How much is a MaxRev ss manifold? Pics of the Pann Manifold is here: http://www.tiora.net/~civicryda2k/?path=turbo_stuff

I took that pic from a post that Pritos made a while back. Looks nice. and for $300 with external w/g it's kinda hard to beat and it's a nice looking piece. I might call them up again and ask if it allows you to retain a/c or PM Pritos and ask him how he likes it. BTW what other good manifolds are there that aren't too expensive. Trying not to spend more than like $450.

OK just called up pann and a local muffler shop. I can have a downpipe made for $75-125 there. Pann wants $325 now and they said "depends on how you want the manifold..." that it will retain a/c. I'm guessing I would probably have to take my car there to get it done to retain a/c. Eh... confused.

EDIT: called pann up again just to make sure about the a/c deal. they can make it to retain a/c without my car being there. So I've decided, Monday I'm ordering a Pann Manifold

yah it is. OK... I got new info on my manifold choice.

I can now get a new drag manifold for $400
now my choices are

- Drag III $400... you know how the drag is... cast iron blah blah
- SFP $400... i think it's mild steel... what are the cons of that though?
- Pann $325... ?

Someone help me decide

Mild steel is no worse than cast iron and cheaper than SS by a damn sight...those maxrev seemed inexpensive for how nice they were, but I think they still have not and probably will not do a D series!

ya i thought about it... sfp is the best route... besides i just wanna get this stuff done already... no more hassle of custom work (namely the downpipe).

Do you happen to know if they do an OTS downpipe for the T3 with internal wastegate?

I called the on in SD. I never knew about the San Antonio one. Anyway I'm going to SFP monday to go buy a manifold from them . I figured... it's like one of the last major parts so I wouldn't skimp.
