Default Management Question

Im looking at boosting my 99 GS-R on the stock engine. I"m looking for ~300whp+ and i was wondering what you guys think about management. I don't know if i should convert to OBD1 and run Uber or Chrome of if i should just get a Hondata system.....most likely the S200. Just wondering what the pros and cons of each system is. It seems like they are fairly similar in price after the OBD2-OBD1 conversion.

Thanks for the advice guys!!

Convert to obd1 and get s-300, no sense of getting a new s200, if your going with s200 try to find a used one.

If you want to line the pockets of the greedy, get a S300. If you'd rather save yourself the $500+ for a S300, get Crome. I've done 100+ cars with Crome and ~300whp is easy. Good luck whichever route you choose.

if you use Hondata, do you still have to convert to OBD1? I was told you didn't......i was told it was like a standalone system that didn't really care......

If that's the case, i'm going to use Chrome or Uberdata....

Hondata has ZERO support for 96-00 OBD2 ECUs. They support 92-95 Civic/integra and 01-03 (04? 05?) K series as of this time.

You will have to convert to OBD1 for all of the above options. It really isn't a standalone as compare to AEM or Motec and the like.

I think your best bet would be going with crome or uberdata.

Crome has my vote as of right now.
