I just got back from Inlinepro and talked to kellar and stan about the manifold thing. I asked them what they thought about the inline VS. the ram horn and new topmounts that are out now. Mat said he was looking for more power to get out of his car some how so he made a ram hown just like full race's. He "baught" the complete top mount w/ 4 inch down pipe setup from full race then dynoed Vs. his inlinepro t4 manifold (like mine ) and he said he gained "NO" power at all, was basicaly the same. He wasnt dynoing to prove a point, just because he heard about teh rave and wanted even more power himself.... so... dont spend too much on something that may not help your like your lookin for.

Because on 5psi, if i do a 3rd gear pull it spins horribly from 5500 and up still. On 10psi it would smoke the tires in 4th... lol Might be because I have 40psi in my Azenis and its like 20degree's out side.... but I figure 5psi is low enough plus its plenty fast. Quick enough for me anyways... lol

yeah i like the top mount too, thats why i was asking them about it. But now knowing I wont make any power over my already $600 manifold. I'm keeping what i got

LoL im getting my Top Mount and 3" from the same guy, definitely does some awesome work and being in Canada like me helps with shipping. I was thinking of having him make the wastegate so the gases travel straight to the wastegate and dont have to make a 90 into the wastegate. You think the placement he has is fine?

so wouldnt it be better to save and not get all brand new expesive things? JDMSLEEP yeah i dont blame you. i spent about that much too but i really want a top mount so just going for it anyway.

Z1P - I got a ncie turbo for sale made around 270-300whp on 10 psi
Read the last two pages i have it listed what the turbo is

he has a pic that shows where the wastegate is located, he actually locates it under the turbo compressor and its straight off the manifold. SillySOHC is his name on hondatech. I have his mani now just really want a topmount so getting it from him again. i think im going 4inch DP though

yeah i know it comes straight off the front but i thought for WG placement the best was to have the gases flowing straight towards the WG and not have it do a 90?

Ive though about the 4inch DP but i think its overboard for the setup im planning, for now that is .

my dirty dirty bay i just threw it together to get it running. and yes the oil line looks like **** haha. its cause i was in a rush and mixed up the 2 fittings on the back of the block so it ended up being too short to run around the motor. ill fix it when i get less lazy people should post more pics of their setups as well

Turbo hits 22 psi boost by around 4500rpm. spools up rather well for a t4, as for my ignition i have the aem Dis box and 4 msd blaster ss coils, you can also run crb coils for more room, not to sure on your diff, but i knwo my boy welded his stock diff to make it posi and hes got about 450whp on 25 inch slicks running in the 10's with it. hope that helps you.

SCARLIMTHUG - As for the WG placement if you had it straight then it would create turbulence i would think because the exhaust gasses would be directed at it and take away from them going straight at the turbine wheel as well.being at a 90 doesnt matter. there ALL at a 90. i havent had any problems, ive had great boost control, no creep and holds steady at my gate pressure setting on my boost controller so its just fine with a 90 dont worry

Thats what I have on my stock ls, and its ok...Originaly I wanted to go with a 57 trim because of my power goals, and even at my current boost level of 15 psi, the turbo is still out of efficiency by about 7 psi....If your goals are going to be 300-350 whp I would go with a 57 trim..
