Why? Cause they can only handle 600 whp. Eagles don't suck, are they the best? No. Depending on your hp goals eagles will be fine for you setup. Eagle rods are a good match for the low revving ls engines. Once you start pushing your rpms past 9000rpms I would look into some manley or pauter rods.

Nothings wrong with them. Every since they upgraded the rod bolt to the 3/8 people have been having good luck with them.

Please elaborate on them. I've seen many set ups on the Eagle H beam rod, and I actually bought a set. I would like to know why you think they are not "a good rod"..

Nothing wrong with the hbeams. i have the older style in my engine and number one eagle told me there good for 650whp. number 2 there holding up just fine in my car and im making over 400whp right now. they were checked after dyno run and no stretching and the bolts are just fine. its all in the tune. you can snap a manley rod if you have a crappy tune. or you can make an eagle ha beam handle alot if you tune it correctly. go on aem website and ask wadzi. he know people that have broken realy top notch stuff with a bad tune

hey fonk what kind of tioming are you running? my dyno graph the power comes on to late cause my boost controller and waste gate werent set up at all when i dyno tuned my car. all LS graphs i see peak early and drop off mine just goes up and stops at 8 grand basically. now that i changed the waste gate around you can even feel the extra HP earlier but i was just curious to see what kind of timing your running and wht plugs your running to go against what i have set up. what rpm points are those numbers?

they only bad thing ive heard about them is that they its possible for them to distort around the crankshaft at high rpms, much higher than you are gonna go with an ls. im running them in my ls/vtec. dont seem too bad to me, and ive got the 3/8 bolts.

yeah i mean ive got the small bolt rods and im making over 400whp and spiining it to 8000 and there working just fine for me. i called crower specifically when i found out about the weak bolts and they said good for 650whp all day.

very impressive. How does is the blockguard holding up? I read some negative reviews about it, but im still interested in getting one. What do you think? Also, what was your duty cycle on the 750CC injectors at 22psi?

The blockguard has been holding up fine. No overheating problems at all. Just make sure its installed right. Everyone has different opinions on blockguards. Some say they'll help when installed right, others say your better off not even putting one in.
I personally think when the blockguard is installed correctly there will be some benefits as far as strenth the sleeves can handle. I'm not sure on the duty cycle of the injectors of the 750's. They usually max out around 475-500 whp.

this surprised me since at about 5-7 cranks the numbers should not change because the max compression has already been reached.

maybe was done on a weak battery
or
with out all 4 plugs removed
or
w/o WOT during the crank?
EVERY ONE CHECK THIS THREAD OUT!!! Very good info about tump tubes and ways to improve the one you already have.
