Default LS/VTEC turbo

my friend has a LS/VTEC turbo block that he's selling. block has darton 84mm sleeves, JE pistons, crower rods. little **** like bolts and all that. my question is, the block was built for ls/vtec. i want to buy it but i only want to do LS turbo. will i run into any problems? when doing ls/vtec, is anything special done to the block itself? i know the head needs to be drilled for the line. other than that, i dunno.

the block itself doesn't go through any changes. if you want to do a ls turbo than just put an ls head on it. make sure the compression of the pistons are compatible to run boost.
