Default Ls turbo or Type R?

I wanted to upgrade my motor. I currently have a stock ls motor but I wanted to upgrade over the winter. I was thinking about an ls turbo but I also have the idea of a b18c5 type r motor. I'm confused. I wanna know which would be best. I am not looking for a lot of spee I just something that will make you feel a good kick.

Hmmmm.... LS with boost (Tons of torque), or Type-R? Yeah, definitely an LS turbo... Way more fun...

That reminds me. The LS head and tranny are the worst peices of **** known to mankind. Do yourself a favor and get yourself a vtec head and B16/GSR tranny.

I agree. Torque should be the last thing on your mind when building a honda for the street. It's not like your going to be able to use it all anyways with those dinky FWD tires lol...

Top end power is where it's at when it comes to hondas.

*** d-series huh. Hehe come to think of it I have smoked a few LS and LS/Vtec turbo hatches. Just because your making a lot of power/torque doesn't mean you will win.

I love racing morons that think just because they have a DOHC Vtack y0! They are the fastest thing on the road lol...

Honestly when your talking about street racing I think it comes down to traction, the driver, and the person building the car more than power/torque.

Because B20 sleeves do not take kindly to ANY amount of detonation. They crack very easily however, LS-t's have proven that they can take the abuse even in stock form.

I would not attempt a type r motor unless you need some kind of "baller status" or have lots of $$$ to play with...As mentioned the ls motor is cheap, durable, and lots of fun with the right turbo....It really comes down to how much money you want to spend....Even on a tight budget you can make virtually any honda motor resonably quick..
