Default Ls turbo help

i have a 95 b18b in a 95 civic coupe, i have a xspower manifold and wastegate with a 5. something spring, garret t3 super 60 turbo, hsk bov and custom 2.5" down pipe, 2.25 hot side 2.5 cold. stock injectors stock fuel pump and a fmu, its a work in progress but it starts and idles smooth, and it runs pretty good when the motors cold, but as soon as i start to get on it and build boost it falls on its face but it does spool. then the car sputters and dies. i checked all the vaccum lines and i cant find a leak but i do have a map sensor off of the intake manifold because the car wouldnt run before i added the turbo. The car runs pretty good for a couple minutes then randomly go to step on the gas and there is no response and the car bogs down and dies, im stuck right now and if anyone could help me i would really appreciate it. thanks

Plug your map sensor back in and add a missing link

d series ecu running a b series engine is not enough fuel and know that its turbo it hates it. if u got a p28 u can chip it or get a stock 92-95 ls ecu and run something for engine managment dont drive ur car untill u have what u need, or most likely u will blow ur motor!

oh **** didnt realize you were runnin a D series ecu on a B series motor. You'll need the right ecu, then hook up the missin link. Sorry for the bad info on my first post(half sleep).

ok so you think the different ecu will do most of it? i know it needs tuned because i just got it together. and im going to get rid of the fmu and get a fuel pump, injectors, and fuel pressure reg. i was going to try and tune from a safc but do you think i have to have hondata?

Yea like SNACH said, find you a P28, if you are going to go Hondata socket it and get it tuned.I'm not a fan of the afc hack, but people have run it sucessfully.

hondata on ur setup with good tune will make very happy. if dont have the income wait ,a tuned motor will make best power and more reliable..when u buy a fpr get a 1 to 1 and not a b&m.

You need to fix what your engine codes are throwing, those are major components to an engine running correctly. Is the MAP code "Barametric Pressure"? If so, you need to run a check valve for the MAP, which i happen to have! $25 and it's your's if i can find it. The stock ECU cannot see positive pressure, there is no fuel maps for it, you need to block it from seeing boost and use the FMU to compensate.

A completely stock fuel system will be fine to around 10psi with an FMU, i hit 15 a few times with no issues.

theres a guy around where i live wrote this what do you think

1 to 1 is 4 every pound of booost one pound of fuel it will rise.Yes u can buy p28 with hondata but u dont have vtec so u might want to call hondata to get there word exact on ur setup. but u can also get a ls ecu if u only run something not to wild. call them check it out.

The stock MAP can read up to another .75bar of manifold pressure before maxing out.

A "Barometric Pressure Sensor" DTC is an issue with the barometric pressure sensor inside of the ECU, not the MAP sensor.

You can disable the VTEC pressure sensor and spool valve in Hondata's ROMeditor if you choose to use Hondata.

Stay with the stock fuel pressure regulator, buy a set of 440cc or 550cc/min saturated injectors so that you can ditch the bleed valve system for the MAP sensor and the FMU.

If you need somebody to socket your ECU, PM me. Or, there's a socketed P74 or P75 ECU with S200B for sale somewhere in the Classifieds.

I used to live in Terre Haute, and we sometimes go back to race at Wabash throughout the year. Mark's got an import series in the works at that track that I think a few of us are going to compete in for the purse.

When I was putting my setup togheter I made some test on the way and stock ecu had issue like you have... after I installed my P06 + hondata S100 with Boost option it worked awsome, it is cheap and work well. Also get yourself some injectors and fuel pump it is not expencive either. Turbo push compressed air in your engine... if you dont add the fuel that should go with it your setup is useless and will blow your engine!

You can also keep your stock ecu and when you chip it they can convert it to a P75 which saves you a lot of money. If i were you, i would just chip the ecu and go with crome. I run it and i know a lot of people that run it and its awesome. Plus it saves you some money.
