ls turbo
Well i wanna know about turbo on a 97 ls, stock engine
I first plan on lowering the cr with thick headgasket
Next I plan on using 5-7psi daily but 10(maybe little more in the future) for racing
My friend told me all I need is to do the thick head gasket to lower the compression and get 310 or 370cc injectors and I will be able to boost up to 10psi safely. How true is this?? Will I need anything else?
thanks

i'd say do 9 psi without the headgasket and some 370's...i ran 9 psi for about 8 months on stock injectors with no problems, but 10 psi is around the limit of stock injectors,so upgrade and be safe.
you don't have to use thick head gasket for boosting on a ls motor, the compression is already around 9.2:1....my friend's 95 turbo ls is boosting 10psi daily driven ran 12.8@107MPH all day long.......all you would probably need is some 310 rc injectors then you'll have the same setup as my friend's trubo ls......get it tuned with a fuel controller you'll be fine!!!!
Ok, so if I get new injectors(310cc) is that all I need just striaght injectors, or would I need extra stuff like a fuel pump?? Also what is boost creep and with your friends setup or mine would I have it?
Your turbo kit should come with an inline fuel pump already. If you're doing it custom, yes get an inline or better yet, an intank fuel pump. You definitely need one.
