LS turbo?
If i was to turbo an LS motor fully built would it have the capabilities that a b18c1 would have? I am having a hard time finding a used GSR for ba descent price and i want an integra. i do not feel like spending the money on the swap so i am just curious if i can expect enough out of an LS motor? i am trying to get up around 420whp

well there are many ways of looking at your question. the vtec head simply flows better than the b18b. most people find however you can boost slightly more on a stock b18b versus a b18c , the b18c will produce more hp at the same level of boost. I have a boosted b18b, i love it, stock block at 8 psi daily, no problems, Ive even heard of people running 12 psi or even higher on the stock b18b. Id say build the b18b, but if you are looking for the most absolute power, the b18c will do the job better. I dont think its worth swappin motors for a daily car. just my .02
I'm almost finished up with my LS turbo project (only anouther 2 weeks before it should be on the road boostin). What type of time slips should I expect with 9lbs daily driven? Not to go off subject with the topic, just didn't want to start new thread. And also, who has the fastest LS on the board.......any one know?

If u make 420whp with an LS vs. making it with a GSR one thing people forget about is how bad *** the LS's torque will be.
I say go for it. it can be done.

I am just putting some mileage on my LS turbo setup right now, and LS is all you need. I don't know what my car will et because I am not willing to put a sticky tire under it. But all I can say is that it will mph large. I am figuring between 106 to 110 mph in the 1/4 mile. I have already raced a C5 vette on the rolling start in 2nd gear and pulled away by a car length at 10psi (my motor can handle 20psi). I have to do something about my brakes now. The stock jobbies are not cutting it no more (hard to slow her down when she is going). Next week Friday I am going to the dyno, so I will post my results. I never knew turbo Hondas were this fun and so damn quiet. My car sounds quieter this year with the turbo and no cat then it did when I bought it stock. If I was you I would go for a 300+ hp LS and spend the extra money that would take it to 420 hp and spend it on suspension, lsd, traction bars.
420 hp on the street is kinda useless unless you get it to the ground.
Thats what I want to do right now--hit 300 hp then start my tranny and traction setup.
420 sounds like a great number to shoot for.
Boosted3g probably has the fastest LS turbo here. I believe he is beyond the 400 mark and shooting for 500 on methanol.

I'm looking to get around 432.58 whp on around 18.48 psi boost street, 25.38 psi boost track. I want to run at least 11.04759 in the quarter mile.
