Default boost b18b or b18c?

wanna make about 300 whp as a daily driver. i'm going to use a gsr trans for sure if u do the b18b swap. but which motor will be better for boost? i'm just breaking into b series. i drive a boosted d15b right now. thanks

Id go with a GSR over the LS engine....having the better bottom end and better flowing head is going to be a lot more fun on the street IMO

um... heres what ive done over the past 4 years.

turbo'd an ls, made 240whp 200 ftlbs at 10 lbs boost.

turbo'd my friends gsr, made 300/210 at 9 lbs boost.

both setups had the same turbo, t3t4 57 trim. the gsr is incredibly more fun to drive on the street

that is the exact setup i wanted to run... t3t4 57 trim garrett on a stock block gsr... but i'm worried about reliability because this will be my dd... can i make 300 whp on a stock block gsr with no problems?

yeah its reliable, get it tuned well.

i tuned that gsr in about an hour, air fuel was a safe 11.2-11.5:1 and i think it was running 20* timing at 10 psi on the map.

it hits full boost of 8 psi at like 3800 rpm and will creep toward 9ish psi around redline. its a peakboost kit with a full 3" turbo back exhaust no cat

Im using a GT3255b which is a variation of the 57 trim on my daily driver stock internal GSR and ive been at 315/216 for this entire season...i made 275/194 all last season too

So to answer your question, YES you can make 300whp + or - and still have good reliability as a daily....

boosting an ls at 15 psi 330whp daily driver. no problems at all, guarantee reliability, you just need a good tune. tuning is everything when you boost. if there is one thing that you dont want to cheap out on it is tuning.
