Default Ls-T build advice

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Okay so I’m going to start off with a little bit of info first. I am not new to cars but I am new to Integra’s. I have a ls 4dr Integra with a jdm b18b. Compression ratios turned out just fine and it supposedly has around 45k miles but honestly who knows. I have a budget of 3000 right now but I do have more money. I honestly just wanted to save some for when things go wrong. My goal is around 350hp. I’ve been doing research for about a month and a half but here is the direction I am going so far. (Please feel free to throw in some advice I would love to hear it but try to make it based on facts or experience)
Tail bov
LSDmotorsports clutch
Ebay intercooler
oil and fuel lines
strait pipe
oil pressure and psi gauge and wideband too
turbo- pt61 or pt62 or maybe even a Garrett T3/TO4E 60 trim
custom manifold
Eagle Rods
Aries pistons
Hondata S300
1000cc injectors
Lastly a tune
Things that are undecided:
bore and hone but not sure yet
adjustable cam gears and cower 404s

I do need to do more research but would like opinions on the direction I have taken so far.

looks good, my .02$

arp head studs without a doubt.

link to clutch? I suggest a competition clutch stage 4

what kind of downpipe? I bought my 3" stainless for 89 shipped on ebay.

If you're gonna put money into your head, you might as well get a vtec head

oh and of course, walbro 255

I’ve defiantly been considering going with a vtec head but I don’t know if I really want to shell out another grand on vtec. I honestly don’t know the exact cost but from what I’ve read its pretty much around there. I was planning on having a downpipe made along with the headers and a 2.5 or 3 inch straight pipe welded up all by the same guy. I am getting a quote tomorrow afternoon probably. I need to find the link to the clutch if I still have it.

Ive never heard of that clutch before. I recommend the CC stage 4 because I hear so many good things about it, and that is the clutch I am going to purchase in the next few days.

A grand sounds about right, but it depends how much you pay for the head, the condition its in, and what comes with it. Lucky me, I bought a rebuilt lsvtec with roughly 2k miles on it. Had the wrong bearings in it so I gotta check out the crank. I paid 700 for it, got an extra valve cover, clutch, and it has headers on it I won't be needing. So when I pull my current b18 Ill sell it for ~500 easily, the header for 100 and valve cover another 50, so pretty much I traded my unknown mileage b18 for a rebuilt ls with a fresh gsr head

Is your goal 350bhp or whp?

Ya if I find a deal that I cant pass up I will defiantly go vtec but until then I am most likely going to go with the ls head. I will defiantly look at the reviews on that clutch. But I am looking to get around 350whp

You can achieve 350whp without any head work.. that is what I'm about to do next week. Ive seen a stock b18b1 with my turbo push 285whp on 14lbs, and 348whp on 18lbs, 100% stock!!! no arp head studs either!!

Reading about this motor made me decide to shoot for 14-16 psi on my setup. I spent roughly 2200 on my whole turbo set up.

So I say keep your head stock unless you have the money, hell might as well. Youll have the rods and pistons to rev higher than 7k safely, so if youre down to spend the money on the head, go for it. You'll achieve your goal with less boost.

If my goal is easily achievable I might step it up a little bit but otherwise it seems semi reliable other than the head which I mean a head you can get for a 100 bucks so I dont really mind. I guess we will see how everything goes.

yeah you're good for alot more than 350whp with built internals. you can pick up a vtec head for 350 bucks and buy the other parts needed for vtec, think about 600-700 extra
