Default Catch can vacuum source??

Is the vacuum source like in my setup below necessary? My thought is that my piping will get oil in it from being routed like this? Also from what i can see is the drain on it is going to the back of block?? I want to change this to make it right so help is greatly appreciated. Ive been reading for about a hr on this and have a bunch of mixed answers as to what to do.

that setup will work just fine. but generally a vented can would not use a preturbo line. a drain is a good idea IMO, so that can doesn't overflow.
