I have a 97 d16y8 turbo that i just finished, its the edelbrock turbo kit with a t28 water and oil cooled ball bearing turbo and im using one of those oil sandwich adapters that goes in between the block and the stock oil filter for fresh oil to the turbo. So I started the car up but heard a loud tapping/knocking sound and i have come to realize that the cause is from low oil pressure, but now i think i might have a busted valve lifter..........my question is where do i check for low oil pressure on 97 civic ex d16y8? i looked on a 2000 civic and the sensor was right above the oil filter on the back of the block but i cant find it on my car, or its in a different spot idk any input would def help thanx a lot

thats wat i thought but its not there p.s. if i ran a stock cat will that take away a lot of power?

it will hurt your power, how much, who knows. But, sometimes quiet, and no cel's far out weigh the power. I'm guessing your obdII and don't want the cel. You could just put in a cutout, and have fun when its clear.
