Default Low Boost

When I floor it, my boost gauge shows that i am boosting 3 or 4 psi. My deltagate is a 7-9 psi spring. What can cause low boost?

Check all the connections on your charge piping. If they are all tight check the vacumn tube that goes to your boost gauge. If it is kinked it could give you a lower reading than what you are actually boosting. When I put my turbo on, my piping was really loose. My gauge read 2 psi and then at one point 0.

Well, right now, on my boost gauge, shows -20 at idle. Does this sound right? My friend's shows the same at idle and when he boosts, it shows 5 psi, which is what his spring is at.
