Default Looking for a place that sells turbo shafts, and a question about balancing.

As the title says, i need a shaft. My question is, what's the balancing proceedure? I've seen just the wheels stuck on a machine and it spins it in pictures, but how does it keep balanced when the wheel has to be taken off the shaft and inserted in the turbo? Is it just marked and realigned? Anyway, if this is how it's done, i'm looking for a place that has balanced shafts for sale, i asked a local place, they want $70 to do it.

another one of these questions ? sheesh .. get a clue .

the shafts are checked with a gauge to check for straightness and run out. then balanced on a machine and material is shaven off until balance is achieved.

I don't have the money and i have a center section that's been rebuilt sitting in my garage, it just needs balanced turbines.

I know that material is shaved until it's balanced, but how is the balance retained when it's taken off the machine and put in the turbo?

$70 is cheap, do it. Shortcuts in this department are NOT worth it. Believe me. I had mine balanced at TurboPower here locally. http://www.turbo-power.com. They hooked me up REAL nicely and I got the whole thing rebuilt also for dirty dirty dirty cheap.

I think i'm just going to save for another complete turbo, it's not going to cost much more.
