Longshot basemap question
Hey guys, this may be a long shot but its worth a try.
I was wondering if anyone here would happen to have a basemap/tune that is similar to my setup (It doesnt want to idle, and its not mechanical).
Pump gas (aeromotive 340 + inline bosch 044)
81.5mm B16 + ported GSR head
~11cr
edelbrock victor x manifold
ID1600s (im planning to go e85, but i want it to idle on pump for now)
Blox stage 2 cams
all this on Neptune RTP
thanks.

If you don't have a tune and you have a stock map you need to remove this 1600 injectors and put your stock injectors back in followed by your stock map sensor. You can run your stock fuel setup all day just as long you don't go into pressure aka boost, shot Im did/doing it with no issues.

even if you get some magical chip sent to you, theres a big probability that it wont be the fix. It will be a general map and not designed for your set up.
even if someone has the same set up as you, it wont be identical. you should look into other tuners that are reputable.

EDIT: I say this cuz you have spent alot of sweat and money on your build.. tuning is not the area to be cheap or foolish. this is the most important part of the build. personally, i wouldnt even drive it until it was tuned. too rich or too lean and you can be posting a much different thread on here.

when you buy neptune don't you get a software license as well so you can download the program and make a basemap yourself? what map is it currently on? where did you get the current map?
If he has the RTP setup he can make changes. Start fresh if you don't know what's currently on it, calibrate your injector setup in the software, and adjust the overall trim as needed to get it idling.
I honestly can't believe you of all people suggested this... That can cause a turbo to over spin just driving normally.
I'm pretty sure he's stated that before in another thread and ive heard of a few ppl doing it without issue. Of course this was going very easy just to get to the tuner. Do you think it would be an issue if you stayed very low in the rpm range and only partial throttle. Asking outta curiosity.
