Default an lnternal waste gate conversion..

hey guys...
i did a search and actually came up with some stuff and evan a link, but nothing proved very usefull to me. Just wondering if someone could tell me how to canvert an internal w/g to an external, or maybe just point me in the direction of a place i might be able to find this out. I tried searching yahoo and others and didnt come up with much so any help from you guys would be great. Thanks in advance

any body? is it evan worth it if i am going to run low boost (7psi) is there any fitment issues with a internal...

the most common way is to weld your internal wastegate shut and then modify your exhaust manifold for an external wastegate. another guy i spoke to had a great idea which totally escapes me right now. i'll post it up after i refresh my memory.


and for low boost i wouldn't even bother. for example, the internal wastgate on the greddy kit (mitsu tdo5-18g) is good to about 15 psi....

one last question guys, is an internal wastegate controlled the same way that an external one would be? via manual or olectronic boost controller..
sorry about all the questions, want to join the dark side but i at least want to know what the hell im doing!!

Hah! At 10psi I get so much boost flux it's sick!

hmmmm...mine was fine but maybe because of the HKS boost controller....

and i think when boost killz dynoed his car they got boost spiking after 15 psi as well....
