little black marks on cylinder walls?

Default little black marks on cylinder walls?

i just ripped apart my block and i see some little black marks on the cylinder walls and a few on the crank journals. i know these are heat marks right? so whats the best way to get rid of them? will they come off in the degreaser tank? im getting the block dipped tommorow

Have it honed, install new rings.

rod bearings are at .015. stock specs new are .008-.015. so it falls within the range

the black marks are most likley caused by detonation. you shoudl consider tering the entire motro apart and have it check out for cracks nad stress fracturers. repalce the pistons and rings (hone block to next size up if it tests ok) to be safe.
IF that's the case, but I thin there's a good chance it is.
