Lil Gnome's New Suggestion Parts list thread B18C1 turbo
Hey guys,
So i am now looking to buy parts for my engine to do the conversion.
I am keeping the stock bottom end, and looking to see if I have missed any parts off my list.
Not buying a kit as some parts i have from previous cars and others i can get on the cheap.
Td05 turbo charger from an evo
Turbo manifold
Pipe work and intercooler
Oil catch tank with pipe work
T-peice for oil pressure switch with pipe work to turbo
New inlet manifold, skunk2/blox/ect
Injectors. Will 440cc be enough and will/should i need fuel rail?
Fuel pump
Down pipe
Ecu, i believe p78 with chrome will be ok with base map to allow me to get it mapped on RR?
Is there anything i have missed off the list or suggest i add on?
Thanks in advance
James

re: The Insider's B18C1 Build parts suggestion thread
Oil drain lines
Tapped oil pan
A real EMS. A basemap on CROME doesn't cut it.
Gauges to monitor air/fuel. oil pressure.
Downpipe
A horsepower goal
What kind of 440 injectors? Will they require a resistor box.
Read the link in my signature.

Nice one, gauges i do have on my ebay watch, forgot to add to list. And downpipe is on.
With regards to injectors, i have read about resistor box, but if im honest i would rather not have injctors that need that.
Which do you recomend, it dowsnt have to be 440, i jusy read a few people running them.
Bhp figure, i dunno, would like to get 350, but a solid safe 300 would be nice.
Thanks for the link, will take a look now

Also, you're making things complicated by not using a standard T3 framed turbo. You might be able to find a manifold for that Evo 16g, but it will be more difficult to find and more expensive than a standard manifold.
For parts, I would avoid eBay...check the marketplace: www.hondamarketplace.com

re: The Insider's B18C1 Build parts suggestion thread
Is it weird to bring this back up? I wanted to know if anyone could provide a list of recommend parts for a turbo build.
Goal: 400whp (reliable)
Budget: I have a 'decent' income
Power Plant: B16A (it from a CRX SiR)
Chassis: EK Sedan
I am curious about if I need to do anything to the bottom end. New pistons, connecting rods, etc. Any info you could provide, thank you.

- 400whp is beyond the safe scope of standard internals and especially a B16 due to the smaller capacity.
- You will need Rods & Pistons as a minimum (Wiseco/Manley/CP shelf pistons and Eagle/Manley/BC H-beam rods)
- I'd also do a CSS block for safety and ARP headstuds.
- BC/Manley/Supertech Valvesprings & Retainers
- Stock cams are fine however GSR/CTR/ITR cams will make more power
- Get a Go-Autoworks turbo kit (any variant except the long-runner top mount) with a turbo that's rated at 450 - 500hp (52 - 57mm)
- Decide what fuel you going to run on (93 or E85)
- 1000cc injectors
- 255/340 lph fuel pump depending on whether 93 or E85
- Adjustable Fuel pressure Regulator
- Stage 4 clutch
- Hondata/Neptune

There are a few threads going at the moment with similar questions and goals as yours...so be sure to check them out.

Lil Gnome's New Suggestion Parts list thread B18C1 turbo
Lil Gnome inadvertently received some good information from some valued members after ThreadJacking an old thread. This is the attempt to keep the information within the thread intact and put the old one to bed.
So, yes, Lil Gnome, this is weird. Please don't do that again. Just create your own thread with your own topic, to avoid confusion.
