Default Lets talk H22s and N20

I did a few searches and couldn't find all the info I was looking for... sooo..

what shot are you h22 guys running?
what safeguards should I use?
and just get me any good info you can... thanks.

I am not 100% ignorant about using the spray, but I have never used it before and want to stay safe.

well first off a 75 shot is a good # for a stock block no more if u want life out of it. buy a fuel pump with a shot that size, about 80-100$. retard your timing 3 degrees. wet system of course for street applications. do these things u will save a safe & sound motor. i have that setup on my stock gsr right now for about 8 months & i go to moroso at leaast 3 times a month plus what i play with on the streets. its nothing to use 2 bottles a night at the track & i am still running 13.61 in the 1/4 all stock motor a na turbo motor cant pull those #'s & hold up.

good luck ITS THE BEST 700$ IVE PUT IN MY CAR YET

It depends a lot on what you want to do with it and how much you want to spend. If you are just looking to have a bit more power and have some fun, a single nozzle wet system should work just great. If you are willing to spend a bit more money, a direct port system might be something to seriously consider. It gives you a lot more room to grow in the future and (as im sure you know) offers more even distribution and power at the same relative power level. If you round up a bottle and feedline I can step you into an intsalled direct port system for right around $500. On the flip side you can pick up a pair of noids and a nozzle off ebay for close to $100 if you are trying to go cheap. Just depends on what your goals are. Hook us up with some details.

Going direct port on a 75 is not a good idea. Those jets are going to be small as f*ck any debris in the gas will clog the jet and lets hope it does not lean out
DP is more for upscale hp. then again you do want you want just my .02

I run a 75 shot Wet on an H22. I've used more on a stock motor, but don't reccomend it. A consistant fuel system is key and taking a couple or few degrees of timing helps. If you want to really be safe and get the most power out of it throw in some race gas, 110, U4, whatever you can get. If you have a few gallons of 91 in the car, throw a couple of gallons in, it works wonders

good info guys.

here is what I have and plan on... I already have a 255l fuel pump, msd 6al ignition and misc other stuff. I was going to turbo my car(I have all the turbo stuff in my room), but a week before the turbo was going to go on, auto tentioner broke. So now my extra money has to go towards fixing that. I figure I would sell my turbo stuff and just go with the n2o. My trap now is at 101mph. It would be nice to see 110-112ish traps. The reason I put it in terms of trap speeds is because 99% of my racing is on the hwy on the way to work or on the way home.

WTF is going to plug your jets? thats what they invented fuel filters for. Do you really think that a .014 fuel jet for a 75 jet is going to plug up but a .016 for a 100 shot is going to just pass the debris through?

Mr. h22: you are thinking along the right lines, 112mph trap speeds should be a walk in the park to achieve. My lil crappy daytona bumped from 101mph trap speeds to 114mph with one of my single nozzle 80hp tunes on it and thats in a 3200lb ride.

fuel filters can only do so much. And anything can clutter it from anything from a old fuel line to a bad filter.

If you REALLY WANT DP, Get a secondary fuel supply line with pump and regulater and set it at a lower pressure and use bigger jets. I dont know the jet sizes for dp but my fuel jet for my old 75 wet was pretty small now cut that in 4 its to small anything can clutter it.

i have put a 115 dry shot on a stock motor years ago. the only problem the customer had was running it into the stock rev-limiter and eventually burning an exhaust valve. if it was my car i would put in a 95 shot and an aftermarket rev-limiter and never worry about it.

I loved my h22 w/nitrous I ran a 13.30 at 110 running way rich on dot tires. 75 shot is the way to go. My mostly stock h22 lasted for about 7 months before it started smoking allittle( It wasnt bad but I decided by that point that I wanted to rebuild it any way to go faster) my h22 was daily driven and daily sprayed. I would do it again in a heart beat.

I've herd this small jet debate over and over and the fact of the matter is this: if you set things up right, it just isn't a concern. I've put half a dozen systems on the road in the last 4 months all running .014" fuel jets and they are all still running perfect (aside from one who got a lil over zealous on the dyno hehe). As i've said before, if you set it up right and tune it right it will do nothing other than make power all day everyday.
